Bishop Arsani of the Netherlands opened the St. Mark church in The Hague and held a Mass after expansion work on the church was completed.
Pope Tawadros II had laid the foundation stone for the church in May during his visit to the Netherlands.
Egypt's Ambassador Taher Farahat and Consul General Gilan Abbas attended the opening with Abdullah Hamdan, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.
The church is the second largest Coptic church in the Netherlands and serves a large community, hence the decision to expand it.
