Copts for Egypt front denounced the policies of the Ministries of Education and Higher Education for insisting on scheduling elections on holidays of Christians.
Imad Khalil, coordinator of the front, said that such crisis is repeated every year, as the schedules don’t take into account the right of Coptic Christian students to celebrate their feasts including Christmas.
Nader Shokry, spokesman for the coalition, said that several colleges give exams for students on Christmas eve which prevents several students who study at different governorates from celebrating the feast with their families.
