Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See held mass Thursday morning to mark the sixth anniversary of Alexandria’s Two Saints Church bombing that killed 24 Coptic Christians on New Year’s Eve 2010, Youm7 reported.Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See held mass Thursday morning to mark the sixth anniversary of Alexandria’s Two Saints Church bombing that killed 24 Coptic Christians on New Year’s Eve 2010, Youm7 reported.

The mass was held at the Coptic Orthodox Monastery of Saint Mina located in the Western Desert near Alexandria.

During the sermon, the pope advised the congregation to repent their sins, serve the church and the country and start the New Year with prayers and good deeds.

The attack, in which at least 100 were injured, took place weeks before the January 25 Revolution that toppled Hosni Mubarak in Feb, 11, 2011. It was internationally condemned by several world leaders and human rights organizations.
