Abba Agathon, Bishop of Maghagha, opens the church of St. George and St. Philopatir in Belhasa village after its restoration after it was burned on August 14, 2013, after the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins.The restoration work was carried out by the Egyptian armed forces during the first phase of restoration.
It’s worth mentioning that dozens of churches were burned by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization after the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins.
