Police arrest two Muslim Brotherhood members for incitement to violence
The Egyptian police on Wednesday arrested two Muslim Brotherhood members for managing 47 Facebook pages that call for protests on January 25.The Egyptian police on Wednesday arrested two Muslim Brotherhood members for managing 47 Facebook pages that call for protests on January 25.
 
According to a statement issued by the Interior ministry on Wednesday, the two were accused of inciting action against state institutions.
 
The statement mentioned that one of the suspects, Mohamed A, managed 41 Facebook pages that “incited against state institutions, promoted the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood beliefs, and incited demonstrations and marches on January 25″.
 
It added that when Mohamed was arrested, he was in possession of the computer he used for his Facebook activity.
 
The second suspect, Kawthar H, who managed six Facebook pages, was arrested in Minya (Upper Egypt) and confessed to sharing posts on the six pages that “incite against state institutions and called for marches on January 25″.
 
She was also accused of being in possession of the computer she used to manage the pages, according to the statement.
