Egypt will hold an international conference in February to present the latest and future development opportunities in the Suez Canal, Youm7 reported Sunday.
Under the title “Suez Canal Global Conference, Opportunities and Challenges,” the conference aims to “boost communication and present effective contacts with the canal’s customers and main players in the shipping field,” Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mohab Mamish announced in a press conference held at Ismailia Sunday.
The conference will be held in Cairo from Feb. 22-24, 2016.
“The conference is a good opportunity for those interested in maritime transport all over the world to exchange experiences and to discuss latest accomplishments in the shipping industry and ways to overcome difficulties and challenges through data exchange,” said Mamish.
The conference will also feature workshops on operation and policies adopted by the SCA, Mamish said, adding that the conference will include a session on the Suez Canal Development project.
