Abba Makarios, bishop of Minya, said that the armed forces arrived today to the headquarters of St. Moussa Church in Minya to start rebuilding the church that was burned by the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization in August 14, 2013.
It’s worth mentioning that Minya was the governorate that suffered the most damage in the attacks of the Muslim Brotherhood after the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins. More than 16 churches were damaged in addition to dozens of houses and shops of Copts.
President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi promised to fix all demolished and burned churches before the end of 2016.
