Pope Francis expressed his appreciation and love for Egypt, its leaders and people in a message delivered to the Egyptian government.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pope asked the Egyptian ambassador to the Vatican to send his best wishes to President al-Sisi on the occasion of the new year, and the completion of the fourth phase of road map.
He added that Egypt is always included in his prayers since it was a safe place for the Holy Family.
