Abba Pfnotios, Bishop of Samalout, celebrated the first Holy Mass at the Holy Family Church in St. Mary monastery in Jabal al-Tair.
440 new deacons were ordained on that occasion.
It’s worth mentioning that the monastery now has six churches, namely: the ancient church of the Virgin Mary, St. Macarius church, the Church of St. Joseph, the Church of St. Salome, the Church of escape to the land of Egypt, and the Church of the Holy family.
