Pope Francis received today the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and discussed with him the problems facing Christians in Iraq.
The Vatican announced that they discussed the ongoing process of reconciliation in Iraq, and the suffering of religious minorities in the region. Pope stressed the importance of protecting the Christians in Iraq and their rights.
