Abba Serapion, Bishop of Los Angeles, said that the Coptic Orthodox Church gives permissions for second marriage according to the gospel.
He added that seminar of the Coptic bishops proposed the abandonment of spouses for five years as a reason for divorce. Then, they are going to study giving them permits for second marriage.
