Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, gave his legal adviser Monsef Naguib Suleiman 24 hours to review the draft of new personal status law dedicated for the Coptic Christians.
Suleiman who is member of General congregation Counsel of the church should revise the law and return it to the church before it’s delivered to the government.
The new law has given new reasons for divorce including implied adultery and abandonment for five years.
