Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, said that the monks of St. Macarius monastery in Wadi Al Rayyan had seized the land of the monastery.
Pope added that they are not monks and the place is not a monastery since they oppose the Church and the state.
He warned against helping the so called monks of the monastery and warned against visiting the place.
