The board of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and the board of Al-Ahly Sporting Club were dissolved Sunday per rulings of the Supreme Administrative Court, Youm7 reported.
Two candidates who ran for membership in the EFA board challenged a ruling by the Court of Administrative Judiciary, which had rejected their demand to dissolve the board. The new ruling is based on “flaws” in the electoral process of the board.
The Supreme Administrative Court also upheld a ruling that dissolves the board of Al-Ahly after the government and the board challenged the dissolution.
The election of Al-Ahly’s board on March 28, 2014 violated the statute that regulates sporting clubs, according to the ruling.
