During Salman's visit, Egypt will sign four funding accords with Saudi Arabia worth roughly $22 billion, to come into effect Friday, according to official sources.

Salman previously visited Egypt's southern Sinai city of Sharm El-Sheikh in March 2015 for the Arab League summit.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir described the visit as "historic."
