Flights between Cairo and Athens have been cancelled Thursday due to full strike at the Athens International Airport, official at the Cairo International Airport told Youm7.
EgyptAir has cancelled its flight #747 bound for Athens and informed the passengers, noting that the flight will resume Friday, adding that Greek Aegean Airlines announced the cancellation of flight #3931.
The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation posted on Twitter account that the Greek airport was in a full strike.
“There will be no flights from/to #Athens airport due to the 24h strike of the Greek Air Traffic Controllers,” Athens Airport posted Wednesday.
The Greek public sectors went on work strikes against the government’s reform plan per which the pensions will be cut and taxes would be increased.
