In the before Christ years old old times humans and animals lived together in jangles no boarders no limits men climbed trees like monkeys to get fruits and food for survival; food included plants or animals like chicken or cows for both meat and milk, meat would include chicken, duck, fish, rabbits and many more less frequent animals or let us say more wild not too close to the human communities like deer or wild rabbits versus to rabbits born within people and farmers who raised them for food!
In this life where humans ate animals they become food as well to other animals like lions tigers or alligators and many more so weapons become a necessity for survival. You would not survive after meeting a hungry lion without a weapon to defend yourself, and you would never test a deer meat running after it to catch it! In brief weapons was a necessity for survival!
However, the Good Lord gave us brains and creative minds, they invented barriers to divide civilization from wield jungles they created ways to deal with wild animals, they studied the behaviors of hungry animals and how to keep them away from their peaceful cows or rabbits and civilization goes on!
Even in wars after warriors had to fight face to face the enemy they could kill him from a distance using arrows or bombs and latter on rockets and nuclear weapons!
Even nuclear researches become restricted for humanitarian reasons watching the results of nuclear war on Japan years and years after peace ruled!
It was expected following this on the 21st century to see further progress towards peace but what I see all around Egypt -the heart of today's world- more and more violence, wars, and like if we had returned to the primary humanitarian life of jungle where weapons were the way of survival explained earlier!
Really the jungle laws rules all around us in Libya, Iraq, Syria and Yemen so where are we heading?
Is it possible to turn around time and go back to that era, or humans persists to repeat same old mistakes? I had said it before in many occasions, time does not repeat itself but humans keep repeating same mistakes hopping to improve the final outcome but they forget that like they learned from their mistakes so everyone else learned from those mistakes and improved their performance as well!
I hope I did make it clear, we need to walk forward and learn from the past not to keep the past preventing us from development, so let us hope we Egyptians will keep going on not keep looking backwards!
