Egypt’s Tourism Board will participate in an IMEX tourism event April 19-21 in Frankfurt, Germany, along with four Egyptian tourist companies, the Federation of Tourism Chambers and Egypt Air.
Egypt will occupy 100 meters at the event, according to a Sunday statement by the Tourism Board.
On the sidelines of the of event, the Tourism Board will hold meetings with the heads of IMEX and the German Travel Industry Club and specialized media meetings, the statement said.
Egypt participated in the Salon Mondial Du Tourisme in France and the ITB Berlin events in Germany in March.
The move comes as part of ministry’s plans to increase cooperation with international travel companies in a bid to revive Egypt’s flagging tourism sector that has declined following the 2011 uprising.
Tourist influx has been especially affected after a Russian plane crashed over Sinai Oct. 31.
