Since its inception, the Islamic rule in Egypt used sectarianism and linked between the Copts and any failure that faces the regime. However the opposition is not of a religious character; the regime plays with sectarianism that has been burning us for a long time. Several attacks against the Copts is described as individual
Incidents, but they are in fact a systematic attacks and ethnic cleansing aiming to humiliate the religious minority starting with calling them infidels and contempt of Christianity and even burning of Bibles and churches in addition to kidnapping of Copts. Later, they call for jihad and start a whole new cycle of violence and make new massacres against the Copts.
It’s note worthy that the state has never prevented such attacks or arrested the culprits. Having no punishment, the savages escalated their attacks against the Copts. The law and the government waste rights of the Copts.
Couple of months ago, the savages attacked corpse of the martyrs who were killed in Khosous attack, after they attacked the Great Cathedral of St. Mark. Police protected the attackers instead of the victims and gave them what they deserve of tear gas.
Attacking the Great Cathedral of St. Mark under the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood reflects the bad situation of the Copts in Egypt under the auspices of police.
Police offered their sincere condolences to the victims and their families using bullets and tear gas. It also accused them in a statement of starting the attack. I hope such lies and religious discrimination comes one day to an end in Egypt.
