HG Bishop Makarios bishop of Minya told Copts united that St. Mary Church in Ismailia village was set on fire by extremists.
The church consists of a huge tent in which the prayers and meetings were temporarily held till the building is opened.
He added that Copts and Muslims of the village have lived in peace for years.
