Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed arrived in Cairo Wednesday for a short visit to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, state owned MENA agency reported.
Egypt's El-Sisi received the Crown Prince and his delegation at Cairo International Airport.
The two leaders are set to discuss several issues of mutual interest on Wednesday afternoon.
This is the second visit to Cairo by the UAE prince in as many months.
During the last visit, the Crown prince of the UAE, one of Egypt's foremost supporters since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in 2013, pledged $4 billion to Egypt, half as a deposit in the central bank and the other half in investments in developmental projects, according to Emirati media.
Egypt's Central Bank governor Tarek Amer predicted in media statements that the central bank would receive the $2 billion deposit promised by the UAE before the end of May.
