French ship detects signal from deep under Mediterranean, likely to be coming from the black box of crashed EgyptAir jet
Egyptian officials are reported to have claimed that a French ship has picked up signals from deep under the Mediterranean Sea, presumably from the black boxes of a crashed EgyptAir plane.
EgyptAir flight 804 crashed on 19 May with 66 people onboard while en route from Paris to Cairo.
Debris and body part have been found at sea but the search for the main wreckage continues.
