Giza Zoo celebrates arrival of baby white stork
The Giza Zoo has finally received a pair of white stork after a long wait since the nineties, according to a Wednesday statement by the zoological garden.

Visitors can see the white stork in their home in front of the ducks and geese lake.

The white stork lives in central and south Africa, Europe and scattered areas in Asia. It feeds on fish, frogs and insects; its average life span is about 25 years and weighs 2.5-5 kilograms.

The white stork mates in the spring and lays 3-5 eggs, which hatch in 30-35 days. The feathers of the white stork grow after 50-65 days and reaches the adult age in 3-5 years.
