A Central Security Forces conscript was killed by a bomb blast to the south of Sheikh Zuwaid city, North Sinai, on Tuesday.
The victim was killed while on patrol in the Karm al-Qawadis area.
Security sources said that the victim, named Meghawry Mohamed Meghawry, 21, from Sharqiya, was transferred to Arish military hospital.
In October 2014, Karam al-Qawadis saw bloody incidents when a car of explosives driven into the Karam al-Qawadis checkpoint was blown up, killing 33 members of the armed forces and injuring 26.
