Murderer of Yemeni Masters student arrested
The murderer of a Cairo-based Yemeni student has been arrested and admitted to perpetrating the crime, according to a Tuesday statement by the Yemeni embassy.
Mona Moftah, who was a Masters student at the Faculty of Economics and Political Studies of Cairo University, was found dead and burned in her apartment in Manial June 24. Preliminary investigations revealed that robbery was behind the murder, and that the assailants burned parts of the apartment to hide traces of their crime.
