1st international Suez Canal International Festival for Arts convenes August 17-24

Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) chairperson Mohab Mamish has approved a request to hold the first round of Suez Canal International Festival for Arts on August 17-24 in the Suez and Ismailia cities, Youm7 reported. The Festival will be organized in cooperation with Italy in light of encouraging the Egyptian tourism. A total of 30 Italian artists will participate in the festival.

Egypt opens King Farouk’s rest house in Helwan in few weeks: Minister

Minister of Antiquities Khaled Anani has announced that the government will open the Late Egyptian King Farouk’s rest house in Helwan, which has turned into a museum includes artifacts belonged to the Muhammad Ali dynasty,  within coming few weeks, Youm7 reported.

Hundreds of Muslims pray ‘Tarawih’ outside  Alexandria’s  Coptic Orthodox church

Hundreds of Egyptian Muslims have performed Tarawih prayer Saturday evening in the vicinity of Alexandria’s  Coptic Orthodox church of Saint Mark and Pope Peter in the Sidi Bishr. The Church locates near a mosque in eastern city, Youm7 reported.

People call for restoring archeological Mosque of Shahin Al-Khalwati

Social media users have circulated a number of photos for “neglected” archeological Mosque of Shahin Al-Khalwati, which locate on Mokattam Mountain in Cairo, near by the Saladin Citadel of Cairo. They called for its restoration before being collapsed, Youm7 reported.
