Islamist parties joined the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in their sit-ins in Rabaa and Nahda squares after the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi without asking them about their plans to deal with the crisis, said member of Gammaa Islamiyaa Assem Abdel-Maged.
Abdel-Maged established an Islamist party called Building and Development Party during the rule of Egypt’s Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) in November 2011. He involved in a number of terrorist actions, including the assassination of former President Anwar Al-Sadat, and adopted violent positions against the Copts for years.
He added, on his Facebook page, “Among Muslim Brotherhood’s members, there are people who deny the favors of others. They insult those who adopt different visions.”
Since Morsi’s dismissal, Abdel-Maged lives in Qatar.
