Coptic Orthodox Church’s Bishop Paula of Tanta signed the final draft of churches building law on Monday, said Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Magdy Al-Agaty.
He added that Paula’s signature came to complete the signatures of representatives of Egypt’s three churches, signaling that the draft law is composed of only seven articles.
The Egyptian official revealed, in press statements, that he will hand the draft law to Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to be discussed during the cabinet’s coming meeting then to be referred to the State Council that will turn it to the parliament to discuss the new law during the current parliamentary round.
