The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) has offered cardiac catheterization device to Ethiopia’s largest general hospital during a celebration on Monday, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The celebration was attended by EAPD Secretary General Hazem Fahmy, international cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Magdy Yacoub and the Egyptian Ambassador to Addis Ababa Abu Bakr Hanfy.
The device was delivered to the Black Lion Hospital where an Egyptian intensive care unit for cardiac surgery was inaugurated in 2014.
Dr. Yacoub and his medical team will examine patients and perform surgeries on a number of Ethiopian patients.
