Italian Parliamentary leader of the Popular and Liberal Alliance for local Autonomy (ALA) Lucio Barani said that he will hold a press conference in Rome to talk about case of Italian slain student Giulio Regeni, who was tortured to death in Cairo early February, Youm7 cited him Sunday during an interview with T.V. host Ahmed Mousa.
He added that the incident aimed to strain the relations between both countries.
In a press conference held in Cairo Sunday at the headquarters of the Egyptian-European Business Council, Barani said that Egyptian government should spot more light on the case of Regeni’s death, noting that Cambridge professors declined to provide Italy information about Regeni’s studies.
