Member of Parliament Silvia Nabil criticized conflicted reports by two official bodies on the size of the inflation in Egypt, saying “this is unacceptable,” she told Youm7.
Citizens have noticed a remarkable increase in prices over the last period, especially during the past three months, which requires putting an economical plan that increases production rates and enables state to increase exports, added Nabil.
The Central Bank of Egypt has issued a statement saying that the inflation rate has decreased by 12.31 percent in July, while the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) stated that the rate has increased by 14.8 percent.
