In an interview with Ahram Egyptian newspaper, imam of Loufy village mosque said that Copts are minority in an Islamic country and they are not allowed to build churches according to Islamic Sharia.
Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Ali denied the recent sectarian attacks and said that the problem came after rumor about building a new church since the Christians represent only 7.3% of the population which is very few to build a church!
The newspaper said that the Sheikh who works for the ministry of Awqaf and is graduate of Al-Azhar was smoking a hookah, accompanied by another Sheikh.
