CAIRO--Scores of activists from different political powers Monday night protested outside the independent Press Syndicate against alleged vote fraud.
Describing Sunday when Egypt's legislative elections were held as a black day for democracy, the protesters chanted slogans against the ruling National Democratic Party, which is heading for a landslide win.
"Killing opposition is a disgrace," read a banner raised by one protesters as the secular opposition collected five seats in the first round of the elections. The run-off vote is due on Sunday.
