Security forces killed two militants in North Sinai during special operations targeting armed groups in Rafah city, Youm7 reported.
The operations are part of pre-emptive strikes launched by forces in the peninsula.
Meanwhile, forces thwarted an attempted attack at a checkpoint in Rafah and another in Sheikh Zuwayed.
Hundreds of soldiers and policemen were killed in several attacks at security facilities and car bombs in North Sinai. On the other hand, officials regularly announce killing scores of militants in strikes and military operations.
