A number of members of the House of Representatives decided to intervene to put an end to the sectarian incidents at Asem village in Minya.
Minya Diocese had issued an official statement concerning sectarian clashes that said that sectarian clashes erupted between Muslims and Christians before police intervened and 20 Muslims were arrested as well as 17 Christians.
It’s worth mentioning that the same village had witnessed similar sectarian clashes on July 19th.
