The Ministry of Health has taken a number of proactive preventive measures to combat bird flu H5N1 virus in governorates, especially ahead of winter season where the virus is active.
The measures include periodical vaccination of domestic birds, culling of infected poultry, disinfection of farms and applying cleansing procedures at the infected site.
