Russian transport minister Maxim Sokolov, who is expected to visit Egypt soon, will discuss with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi the resumption of flights between the two countries, including a draft intergovernmental agreement on aviation security, the Russian transportation ministry's press service said on Sunday.
Russia suspended flights to and from Egypt late last year over security concerns after a Russian A321 plane crashed as it was en route from the resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St Petersburg, killing all 224 passengers and crew members.
