Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathy and Russia’s Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov will hold a press conference on Tuesday to announce the outcome of talks on resuming direct flights between the two countries, Youm7 reported.
The conference will be held at the Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister in Cairo.
Heading a high-level Russian delegation, Sokolov arrived in Cairo Monday to meet with President Abdel Fatah al Sisi for talks on a “draft agreement” between the two countries to ensure the safety of civil aviation,” according to Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti.
Russia has suspended all civilian passenger flights to Egypt following the crash of a Russian plane over Sinai that killed 224 people.
