Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Ghandour arrived in Cairo on Tuesday early morning to take part in the Joint Higher Egyptian-Sudanese Committee meetings, which kicked off Sunday, Youm7 reported.
Ghandour, along with the accompanying ministerial delegation were received by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
The two officials are scheduled to will co-chair the ministerial meetings of the committee in Cairo on Tuesday.
High officials of the two countries met on Oct. 2-3, while the presidents of the two countries will conclude the committee meetings on Oct. 5, said Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The committee is scheduled to review bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including political, security, consular, military, finance, trade, transport, education, agriculture, and cultural sectors.
During the previous meetings, the committee was held at the prime ministerial level.
