Undersecretary of discipline committee at the parliament Ahmed Mostafa said that a meeting will be held next week to decide on the case of MP Elhamy Agina who was slammed over his virginity tests remarks.
Agina called for carrying out virginity tests before accepting female students at universities; he was referred to investigations by the parliament over his statements that triggered backlash by female MPs.
Mostafa said that Agina will face two punishments; the least of them is to be banned from attending parliament sessions for a whole round.
The MP could also face expulsion from the parliament.
