A leading US business delegation arrived in Cairo Sunday in an official visit to meet with President Abdel Fatah al Sisi and government officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the US Embassy in Cairo announced in a statement.

Headed by Ambassador David Thorne, Senior Advisor to Secretary of State John Kerry, the delegation comprises representatives of more than 50 U.S. companies.
The delegation will take part in meetings jointly organized by the U.S. and Egyptian American Chambers of Commerce and Business Councils, from October 23-25, the statement read.
“The United States is committed to strengthening its long-term economic partnership with Egypt,” Ambassador Thorne said.
“This business delegation is clear indication of U.S. private sector interest in Egypt and its future.”
