Alfred Nobel was born on October 21, 1833 in Sweden. He wanted to make a useful invention for the world. Thus, he invented dynamite to help in mining and construction work. This was a great invention indeed, but was misused in wars and was a tool to kill many people. After reading a premature obituary which condemned him for profiting from the sales of arms and killing innocent people, he bequeathed his fortune to institute the Nobel Prizes.
