Egyptian authorities at the Cairo International Airport barred political activist Malek Adly from traveling abroad on Wednesday as his name was put on no-fly list, Egypt’s state-owned newspaper al-Ahram reported. He was going to travel to Paris.
Adly was ordered released by a court in August after the prosecution appealed an initial order to release him.
He was arrested in May for “inciting protests” that went rampant in the country against the transfer of the Red Sea islands Tiran and Sanafir to Saudi Arabia.
