In her article entitled “thinking skills and education" Dr. Aida Nassif tells us about the importance of development of thinking of students from the very begging instead of what is called indoctrination education! Development of thinking abilities is a bridge to flee ignorance. Therefore, our students should learn how to develop their thinking abilities in all stages.
Moreover, we need to develop the skills and methods of the teachers as well. They should learn about scientific research. They should learn how to find accurate and useful information.
Such trend should be taught in specialized courses for teachers to be able to meet the challenges. Such teachers should be able to produce a graduation of young people who are capable of innovation and creativity with a touch of courage and respect for different points of views.
We have to renew our curricula and develop our way of thinking. Our students have to learn how to do research instead of saving researches of other people. We have to provide an environment that encourages dialogue and disagreement. The traditional book and curricula should be canceled and modern technology should be embraced in order to produce minds that are able to think, judge and understand.
