For two days, the semi-annual Conference of Bishops of North America was held in the presence of Abba Serapion, Bishop of Los Angeles and Hawaii, Abba David, Bishop of New York and New England, Abba Joseph, Bishop of the southern United States, Abba Karas, Pontifical deputy in North America, Abba Peter, Bishop of North and South Carolina and Kentucky, and Abba Abraham and Abba Cyril, the general bishops.
The conference was held in the Archdiocese of New York and New England in the presence of Father Seraphim Syriac, Pontifical deputy in America.
