Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, said that Coptic Orthodox Church presented monasticism for the world. This came during a weekly program about heritage of the church.
He said that monasticism is very precious in our church since the very first monk was a Coptic man from Beni Suef governorate. He is the great saint Anthony.
