Abdul Hamid Haggan, governor of Qena, visited the monastery of ST. George in Hager Mahrousa in Qena, to congratulate the Copts on St. George fest.
He praised the unity among Muslims and Christians in Qena and denounced sectarian strife that divide the nation and prevent its security and stability.
Father Ammonius, agent of Qena Diocese, said that extra security measures have been taken to secure the celebrations at the monastery that is located 18 kilometers from Qena.
