In his meeting with Copts United TV, the Egyptian writer Kamal Zakher said that the idea of uncleanness of women because of their menstrual cycle is not a Christian idea as Christ said that “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
He explained that the Coptic church has to acknowledge its problems and try to solve them. Therefore, it has to review and evaluate its rituals.
