Samir Ghattas, member of the Egyptian parliament, accused the Egyptian government of threatening social peace and security by deliberately impoverish the Egyptian citizen by increasing prices.
He demanded the government to raise salaries and pensions by 20% after the inflation rate has reached 21%, which led to a serious deterioration in the living conditions for millions of Egyptians.
