Cultural Franciscan Center held its second conference on monasticism in the Middle East at the church of St. Joseph in Cairo from January 12-14th.
The conference discusses 43 research presented by researchers from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, UAE, Austria and Italy as well as professors and monks.
Abba Marteros, bishop of east of the railway churches and Dr. Atef Najib, director of the Coptic Museum and professors from the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities participate from Egypt.
It’s worth mentioning that the first conference was held in 2015 and entitled Heritage of Christian Nubia.
